I would really like to call this a "shillelagh" which is an Irish style cudgel, because the implications of this being an Irish cudgel with a sad British Cop on the business end are bold. Why am I not calling this a shilleglagh? Because traditionally those are made of Blackthorn and this is not. Either way, very fun piece with beautifully carved root burl.
